Application and advantages and disadvantages of graphite bearings

Bearing is a kind of common sliding parts in mechanical industry, which is made of metal, nonmetal and composite materials. Graphite bearing is a kind of graphite bearing developed on the basis of metal bearing with the performance requirements of mechanical equipment. The main base material is graphite material.

Bearings are divided into rolling bearings and sliding bearings, graphite lubricated bearings are mostly used for sliding bearings. 1. It should be used in the place where grease lubricant is not allowed to be used when the bearing is running

For example, transporters used in the industrial sectors such as food, beverage, textile, chemical, etc. In these places, the use of grease lubricant is prohibited, and the self-lubricating performance of carbon graphite bearing is very strong, so it can be widely used in these departments without using lubricating oil for dry operation.


2. It should be used in places where ordinary bearings cannot be used due to high temperature

Carbon graphite bearings can be used for bearings of ingot conveyor, boiler preheater, vent valve and blower of flame tube in boiler room, material conveyor of high temperature furnace, feeder in iron and steel industry and regulator of flue valve, which can ensure its normal operation.


3. Application in chemical and textile industries

Some bearings run in corrosive gas or liquid. In this case, not only the use of grease lubricant is prohibited, but also the metal bearings will be corroded quickly. Due to the corrosion resistance of graphite bearing, it has been widely used in these industries.
